I’ve called Springfield, Missouri my hometown since 2002, though I’ve lived a few other places since. On January 1, 2019, my husband Josiah and I returned to Springfield and decided to make it our permanent home base, and since October of 2019 we’ve lived in Springfield’s Rountree neighborhood near Missouri State University and downtown.
I graduated from Missouri State University in 2007 with a degree in English Education, and after that I spent a little over a year teaching English in South Korea. I also briefly taught English in Mexico, returning home to get married in 2011.
From 2011-2016 I taught 7th grade English in Marionville, Missouri, until my husband and I decided to make a career change, sell our home, and buy an RV to live in, a story you can read about here.
In 2017, I started a website, RVinspiration.com, as a place to curate ideas for organizing and decorating RVs. My website evolved into a business which fully replaced my former income. As a result, I’ve learned a lot about online entrepreneurship and marketing as well as the skill of building websites.
